Welcome to Digital Scrapbooking Day 2008!  This is the second year for DSD and we are thrilled you are here.

We hope you take some time today to celebrate the every growing world of digitial photography and scrapbooking. It seems that most of us own a digital camera and you don't have to be a scrapbooker to take lots of pictures.  Playing with those photos and preserving the memories are what this day is all about.  Learn about choosing a digital camera, using a new technique or creating something unique with your photos and enjoy DSD!

Digitals Has a Whole DSD Weekend!

The designers and digiscrapppers at Digitals invite you to join them for the whole DSD Weekend!

Stacey Mann the owner of Digitals, told us they will have an exciting line up of events in celebration of Digital Scrapbooking Day including a sale, treasure hunt, and lots of crops Oct. 31 - Nov. 2!  

Join in the DST treasure hunt where site visitors can collect pieces of a completely free mega collaboration kit with a common color palette by visiting our store and hunting for the clues, which are linked to immediate download of the kit pieces. 

And there is a  line-up of crops/chats where participants can enjoy the company of fellow digital scrapbookers, pick up freebies and learn more about the sites' talented designers.  Digitals crops are scheduled as follows:

DigitalArts Cafe Joins In with Activities for DSD

DigitalArts Cafe is joining in celebrating DSD with lots of activites on their site.  Melothria who is the owner of DigitalArts Cafe, says "We are having a few games at the forum for the Digital Scrapbooking Day,"  

There will be a scavenger hunt with clues, challenges and a fun jigsaw game.  I am not sure how you do a jigsaw puzzle online so I might just have to pop over to find out!

And if you like to shop [who doesn't?]  they will also be having a big sale at the store from Oct 31 to Nov 3.

Scrapblog Contest for DSD

A number of well known names in the scrapbooking world have teamed up to create a really fun challenge for you.

Scrapbook Your Holiday Greeting Scrapblog Challenge

In honor of Digital Scrapbooking Day, Scrapblog and Digital Scrapbooking Magazine invite you to participate in a Scrapblog Challenge! Scrapbook your holiday greeting and you could win 50 prints of your own custom holiday greeting card design.

The deadline to enter is November 1, 2008.

Scrapblog lets you design a card both inside and out which means you have lots of creative possibities!  Don't forget to tag your card with DSD so it gets entered in the contest.

Heritage Scrap Pages for DSD

What a wonderful way to perserve and share old photos!  Digital scrapbooking your heritage photos makes perfect sense - you can fix them up. add journaling and most importantly make lots of copies to share with your family. 

Kate at Heritage Scrap let us know that beginning October 31st through November 4th they are having a store wide sale, to include some commercial use products.  The sale will vary between
35 and 50% off.

Additionally, you can find several challenge contests at Heritage Scrap from Friday
through Monday with prizes awarded for the special categories.

Editor's note: I had some of my LO's turned into magnets by Something Blue Studios several years ago and they were a big holiday hit with the grandparents.  Wonderfully sturdy magnets that are still going strong.
