There are tons of websites for digital scrappers. So I wanted to put together a resource guide....which I thought wouldn't be too hard...just make a list of websites and then another of designer's websites and that would be that! Ha! Little did I know.... I ran into a number of "problems" - good problems to be sure, but there goes my simple little plan!
First, there seem to be more and more each day. I keep running across new ones, all with great info, happenings and stuff. Can't leave any of them out. They are all good!
Second, some sites sell kits and some don't. Some are run by designers and some aren't. Some have galleries, chats, tutorials etc and some don't. I have no idea how to seperate them.
Third, some designers have many sites. They may have one website for freebies and another for a store. And they may have their own store but also sell on other websites....yikes! How am I supposed to keep track of all of them!! I, like, totally understand but....
Fourth, blogs....some of these are designer's blogs which may or may not offer freebies or kits for sale. And some are blogs of other scrapbookers which have loads of info on scrapbooking. Some blogs have clever names and others use the designer's name so that alone can be confusing in terms of finding them
Fifth, some designers have gotten together to form a group website....groan...another monkey wrench in my plan. But a good monkey wrench!
Ok, can we tell I have organizational/control issues here? So after much thought and about 6 attempts I think what I will do is..... {drumroll } {dramatic pause} {deep breathe}
alphabetical listing of everyone and everything. After each one I have listed what is available on the website in a very general sort of way. Next I am planning to go back and make another list of designer names/sites/blogs. Ummm...there will be a bit of overlap here and I am sure I will forget people so please email me at seswhite@gmail.com or use the comments to let me know if you want to be listed here. Thanks!!
