Part of my job - a very fun part I must admit - is testing the newest versions of software. Recently I've been giving FxFoto Creative Edition v 4.0 a bit of a workout. You know, it's a tough job but someone has to do it! That means I get to scrap to test it - ummm yeah!
There have been so many sales this week with lots of my favorite designers...Jen Wilson at SBB, Carrie Stephens at her Fishscraps...and then Maya went and re-did her Scrapbook Graphics site. Very cool Flash intro and now she has lots of designers in her shop - Anna Aspnes, Carrie Stephens, Ronna Penner, Debbie Pearson, Taran Conyers, Ali Folendore, Doris Castle, Mindy Terasawa and Sara Carling and of course, Maya. Scrap Outside the Box had their wonderful chat and sale too. So many kits, so many temptations and so little time and so my credit card is hurting a bit.
I guess I'm not the only one...there's a thread on this a Digi Shop Talk with lots of comments about what a pain it is to unzip each and every download.
So what did I test today? A brand new feature with will be in Creative v4.0 - it will unzip and install your zipped kits right into your FxFoto. One step and they are there and ready to be used! How extremely cool is that? Works like a charm! I asked the programmers to put in a step so that I can name the kit and they put that in today too. What more could I ask for? More later....
