I don't know who invented this term but it seems to fit. I first came upon in this quote which I am sorry to say I can only credit to calendar that I had long ago.
It is important not to eliminate “frithering” from our lives – putzing around- straightening the desk; plucking dead leaves from the plants; organizing the shelves in the medicine cabinet; picking up scattered items of living. Firthering is moving meditation. We need it in our lives.
So today I am post-Thanksgiving frithering. Water plants, straigtening my desk, trying to find my lost wireless mouse, cleaning a hard drive, making turkey soup. Useful frithering and good for avoiding shopping. The idea of the crowds of shoppers and crazy drivers make me shudder so I do my best to avoid them. I do have to go out today and try a get DD some passport photos but I am definitely not looking forward to coping with traffic.
Myabe it should be Frither Day rather than Black Friday. So much more useful.
