Triscape to Host First Annual Digital Scrapbooking Day November 3rd
Scrapbookers of all levels can be inspired, involved, and informed by educational activities offered at DigitalScrapbookingDay.com.
Windham, NH –Triscape, Inc, makers of the award-winning FxFoto Creative photo organization and digital scrapbooking software, is pleased to announce the launch of a new holiday to be observed this fall: Digital Scrapbooking Day. This inaugural event will celebrate all that today's technology can do to help preserve precious memories. Triscape created this holiday to encourage scrapbookers, photographers, crafters, and genealogists to set aside some time to preserve, document, and archive their memories digitally. Crafters of all experience levels can expect to find a wide variety of inspirational and educational resources at DigitalScrapbookingDay.com.
Timed perfectly to get people inspired to start on their holiday gift-giving projects, Digital Scrapbooking Day will take place annually on the first Saturday in November, starting November 3, 2007.
"We're hosting Digital Scrapbooking Day to remind people to set aside some time to dedicate to digitally documenting their personal histories," explains Susan White, Director of Marketing for Triscape. "While we get excited about all the fun digital kits and techniques, we also know that digital scrapbooking isn't just about creating digital layouts. Digital scrapbooking also means sorting and organizing digital photos, scanning and restoring heirloom photos and memorabilia, creating a keepsake recipe album, learning new editing techniques, and experimenting with new graphics software (such as FxFoto Creative). We want Digital Scrapbooking Day to be an annual reminder to make sure your memories are documented and archived safely, creatively, and more efficiently."
To provide visitors with a wide variety of resources, Triscape will be partnering with digital designers, recognized industry experts, and online scrapbooking communities to create unique digital elements and step-by-step tutorials. Partnering sites may offer their own resources and activities on their own site, and offer their visitors even more inspiration by linking to the DigitalScrapbookingDay.com website as the central clearinghouse of information. Triscape plans to compile "host kits" of resources for participating websites and blogs. Parties interested in partnering with Triscape for this event are invited to contact Susan White for more information.
Resources will address all aspects related to digital memory keeping, as well as traditional scrapbooking enhanced by digital tools (sometimes referred to as "hybrid scrapbooking") – including tutorials on how to edit your photos using FxFoto, advice on sorting and archiving years of digital photos, creating fully digital layouts, and more.
