I took Teen and a friend to NYC this weekend for a special birthday weekend. Teen turned 17 last week and we decided to start a new family tradition of a weekend in the city at 17. It seems like there were so many sweet 16 parties last year so we wanted to do something different. Anyway it was a weekend of lots of adventures and fun so I thought I'd share a few photos. We spent a lot of time looking at maps - actually I let the girls do the navigating and they got pretty good at it!
Empire State Building above. Below, we went to a Holiday Fair at Bryant Park and found they had ice skating. The girls had lots of fun skating plus it was a lot less crowded than Rockfeller Center!
Buildings around Bryant Park below ( I have no idea which ones they are - just thought the light was cool!)
And of course Times Square! We saw Phantom of the Opera which we all loved!
And it wouldn't be Times Square without The Naked Cowboy. This was on Sunday morning and while it was warmer than on Saturday, you can see the rest of us are pretty well bundled up!
