The dare was to come up with something you wouldn't change about yourself or someone else. Kind of a reverse resolution... You can see what other people did and join in the fun on The DigiDares.
Journaling reads " LOL that's what we call ourselves. But waiting to have kids at 35 and 40 was the best thing for me. Maybe a bit more energy would be useful and there is something to be said for not mixing menopause and puberty.
I grew up in a very serious family but waiting has made me realize that it's okay to be less than perfect. Particularly when it comes to parenting (and housework). And to be spontaneous and to just hang out is okay too - it's not wasting time. Things don't have to get done... there is always another day - something I would have never said when I was younger.
I love that I have the freedom to do savor my kid's lives. And they've taught me a lesson I would not have been ready to learn if I were younger - that what matters is family, love and being true to yourself."
