Did you know that FxFoto has keyboard shortcuts? It does! These are keyboard commands that you use by holding down a combination of keys on your keyboard. It lets you perform a simple task quickly, without clicking. Being more of a mouse person, I tend to forget these but our chief programmer is the master of the keyboard shortcut. I swear he barely ever touches a mouse!
On your keyboard, usually about the number row you will find a bunch of keys marked F1, F2 etc to F12. You can just click on these and here's what you can do in FxFoto:
F1 New Collage Wizard -This is the same as pressing the New button - it starts a new collage or layout.
F2 Add Image is the same as clicking the Add button
F3 Save is the same as clicking the Save button
So that's easy enough F1, F2, F3 are the first three buttons in the upper left pane.
F4 - Jump to Folder shows a list of all your folders so you can pick one and jump to it.
F5 - Hide or Show Toolbar - this is a great one! It hides the upper tool bar so the right pane gets bigger. Very handy for looking at a layout and even better is F6
F6 - Full Screen shows just your photo or layout in all its full size glory. Hit F6 to return to real life.
And lastly but not leastly is F12
F12 FxFoto Settings is the same as clicking the Settings button.
What happened to F7 to F11? They are there but I don't find them as helpful as the ones above but here they are...
F7 Adjust Visible Frame lets you adjust the photo in a frame
F8 Whole Collage View moves the viewer to zoom out so you can see everything in the right pane
F10 Zoom to Photo moves you to the last object added
F11 Folder Picture Information is the same as clicking on the Folder button and choosing Picture Information.
Okay that's enough for now! I'll be back tomorrow with some more shortcuts - there a lot more...
Wow, very helpful, thanks!
